Moxby Chat can use supported ChatGPT and Claude subscription authentication through the Desktop Bridge. You can also connect OpenRouter with an API key when you want access to other supported models or a separate billing path.
ChatGPT and Claude
Start a trial or paid plan, install the Desktop Bridge, and open the model selector in Moxby Chat. Choose the provider sign-in action and complete authentication in the provider window. Moxby returns you to the conversation when the connection is ready.
The browser extension remains the primary Moxby interface. The Bridge supplies the provider connection and approved computer capabilities that cannot live inside the browser sandbox.
OpenRouter
Open the model selector, choose OpenRouter, and add your API key. OpenRouter usage is billed by OpenRouter under your account. Only use a key created for your own account, and rotate it if you think it has been exposed.
Switch models
Use the model selector in the composer. A model can have its own reasoning and usage behavior. Changing the model does not remove the conversation, but availability can depend on your provider connection and Moxby plan.
