Mod URL matching, permissions, and troubleshooting

Fix Mod loading issues by checking activation, URL patterns, permissions, plan requirements, and updates.

Updated July 28, 2026

A Mod loads when the current URL matches one of its approved patterns and the Mod is enabled.

When a Mod does not appear

  1. Confirm the Mod is enabled in the Mods view.
  2. Check whether the current URL is listed under the Mod.
  3. Refresh the page after changing website permission settings.
  4. Confirm the listing requirement is available on your plan.
  5. Update Moxby if the Mod was created with a newer package format.

Dynamic pages

Many web apps change records without a full page refresh. Moxby watches the active URL and page state so matching Mods can follow supported navigation. A Mod should target a stable pattern rather than one example record.

Permission changes

If a Mod adds new websites or capabilities in an update, review the new access before enabling that version. Do not approve access that is unrelated to the Mod’s purpose.
