What is a Mod?

Learn how Moxby Mods customize existing websites with new interface, data, and actions.

Updated July 28, 2026

A Mod changes or extends an existing website or web app. It can add interface, data, calculations, shortcuts, and actions directly to the page where the work already happens.

Examples

  • Add account health and relationship intelligence to Salesforce.
  • Add company data and next-step actions to LinkedIn profiles.
  • Turn Gmail into a lightweight CRM with a pipeline view.
  • Add live scores, previews, or workflow controls to an existing product.

Where a Mod runs

Each Mod declares the URL patterns it supports. After it is enabled, Moxby loads it automatically on matching pages. You do not need to reapply it every time you open another record under the same approved pattern.

Mod or Mod?

A Mod upgrades an existing website. A Mod is a focused app that runs through Moxby in the browser. Use a Mod when the new capability belongs inside the website you already use. Use a Mod when the workflow needs its own app surface.
